Bhagyanagar Gas Limited, a joint venture of GAIL (India) Limited, and HPCL, was incorporated in August 2003 as a City Gas Distribution company for distribution and marketing of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and distribution of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) to Domestic, Commercial and Industrial Sectors in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The first commercial launch of CNG kicked off on 22nd August 2005 at Vijayawada.

PNG is being supplied through pipe 24X7. PNG offers the convenience of ensuring continuous and adequate supply of PNG at all times, without any problems of storing gas in cylinders.

PNG is one of the cleanest burning fuels, and helps improve the quality of air. When natural gas burns completely, it gives out carbon dioxide and water vapour. These are the very components that we give out while breathing! No spillage and pilferage.

  2. BGL's CGS-cum- Mother Station at Shamirpet, Hyderabad commissioned on 21.11.2011
  3. BGL's first online CNG station at Medchal APSRTC depot commissioned on 04.12.2011.
  4. CNG stations at HPCL Retail outlets at Bowenpally, Narayanguda, Dhoolpet and Langer House commissioned.
  5. BGL started Domestic PNG supply at residential quarters of Nalsar University of Law, Shamirpet, Hyderabad on 21.11.2011
  6. As per recent guidelines by MoPNG, the PNG customer has to surrender the existing LPG connection (if any) for safe custody with OMCs within 60 days from the date of obtaining PNG connection. In case of non-compliance, PNG connection will be discontinued.
  7. The customer will be issued a safe custody voucher by the OMC company on surrendering the LPG cylinder and Security Deposit against the same will be refunded by the OMC dealer. The customer can avail re-connection of LPG cylinder anywhere in India on payment of same Security Deposit amount.
